That Frizzy Boy is me, obviously!
Hey! =)
It’s Friz here, and if you’ve reached this page, it means you’re keen to find out who’s that hunky-dory guy (or irritating twerp) that’s been on your retro-looking, chic radio set! And here’s all the information you need to know!
Qn: Hey, Frizzy Boy, what are you?
Ans: I’m not quite sure myself, but my limbs and features almost look like your average-looking guy. Almost.
Qn: Hey, Frizzy Boy, tell me a little about you. I need to know who’s the real thing behind that voice…
Ans: Frizzy Boy’s the kind of guy you’d see at your neighbourhood supermarket in tees buying groceries and Kinder Buenos. He’s into music and loves to have fun (just like any neighbourhood supermarket patron, no?) He loves to goof around and finds radio the best form of work – cos it’s really play when he’s on air! He loves to travel and wants to travel, so if you feel you can sponsor him to trips round the world, let him know. He’s a homey person like Homer and a good weekend doesn’t have to be at the beach: a nice cool chill on the couch with great company and music is fabulous! He loves recreational kayaking, food (meat!), and meeting new friends.
Qn: Hey, Frizzy Boy, are you single?
Ans: As far as I know, no one’s cloned me yet.
Qn: Hey, Frizzy Boy, who’s your favourite local personalities?
Ans: Well, there’s this newcaster on Channel 5 whom I find very distracting. But I can’t blame her for being beautiful, no? I’m not telling who. There’s also Adrian Pang who’s a great actor, Edmond Chen, Daniel Ong, Glenn Ong. I’ll keep mum on the female ones in case I drastically reduce my chances with the rest. But everyone loves Fiona, don’t you think?
Qn: Hey, Frizzy Boy, what about international personalities?
Ans: Other than my one and only Eva Longoria and Geri Halliwell, I can only dream about the rest. Okay, I lied. I dream about them both too. Sheesh. I’m also a big fan of Jolin Tsai! BIG.
I think Morgan Freeman and Will Smith are the top 2 guys in the business. For a few days in the recent past, I was also pretty envious of Edison Chen.
Qn: Hey, Frizzy Boy, tell us more about the music you listen to.
Ans: I pretty much listen to a little of everything. Depending on the mood, I’d listen to mainstream pop, rock and R&B on most days. I give indie bands a chance too if they let me get my hands on their music. It’s not the band brand that sways me to listen to you, it really is the music. Of course, on frizzy days, Norah Jones or Uncle Mike Buble takes centrestage.
Qn: Hey, Frizzy Boy, what’s your favourite pick-up line?
Ans: I haven’t used any. But if I have to, I’d probably use those with a question-punchline type. Like, “Hey, are your legs tired? You’ve been running through my mind since 10 minutes ago.” I know, cheesy. But it’s in the delivery, not the line itself! Hahaha. But i’ll never use them pick-up lines cos usually I’d have to pick myself up after they walk away.
Qn: Hey, Frizzy Boy, why should I check the show out?
Ans: Because I’m on it?!?! Okay, that didn’t work. You should tune in to me because, for each viewer that stays close to their set during my show $1 will be donated to my private fund till it’s enough to buy me an island near Timbucktoo.
If you’re into local music, and you’re looking for a change, you should check it out. Every different radio show has a different flavour, with or without MSG.
